AMERICAN WOMEN QUARTERS™ Advertising Campaign Earns Prestigious Recognition from aaf dc chapter
As we open Women’s History Month, it’s fitting that the United States Mint’s advertising campaign featuring the American Women Quarters™ earned a silver award at the American Advertising Federation-DC’s American Advertising Awards ceremony on March 6, 2024.
In the category of Online Film, Video &. Sound - Campaign, The American Women Quarters™ Campaign 30 second videos that feature the 2023 honorees, can be found on the U.S. Mint’s YouTube channel. This important campaign honoring women who made historic contributions earned notable praise against other national advertising campaigns from consumer-facing brands such as Dove and 4-H.
Additionally, the six judges evaluating all entries bestowed the coveted Special Judges’ Award to the American Women Quarters™ Campaign, noting the excellent graphic design, effective portrait of each individual hero, and unexpectedly forward creativity from a federal agency.
“We are proud of this promotional campaign and the attention it has received from both the target consumer who purchase these coins and the American public who benefit from learning about a variety of American heroes who all contributed to improving our society and way of life,” said Stacey DeOrzio, Vice President at Yes&.
The U.S. Mint will continue to engage the American public in 2024 with the launch of five additional honorees’ featured on the 2024 American Women Quarters™, in addition to two new commemorative coin campaigns, to include the Harriet Tubman, launched in February 2024 and the Greatest Generation launching in March 2024.
