From innovative digital out-of-home displays and experiential activations to eye-catching bus wraps, creativity is around every corner in Washington, DC. But the DC ad scene is more than just flashy ads—it’s a vibrant community of talented professionals working every day to push the envelope for client impact.
Navigating this competitive ecosystem requires more than just raw talent; it demands a vibrant network, continual learning, and active community involvement. At Yes&, we don’t just understand this necessity—we live it. As active members of the American Advertising Federation's DC chapter (AAF DC), we have the opportunity to shape the agency’s future while contributing to the evolution and growth of the DC creative community as a whole.
“AAF DC is a point of connection for people in the collective DC ad community,” says Jodie Warren, Yes& VP of Account Management and AAF DC’s immediate past president. “Our goal is to be an invaluable resource for networking, provide thought leadership and skill-building opportunities to our members, and showcase our region's top creative talent.”
AAF provides a variety of networking and educational events throughout the year, giving Yes& members the chance to connect with other creative professionals, stay up to date on the latest industry trends and innovations, and strengthen their skills. These events also facilitate conversations with potential new business partners and collaborators.
Beyond Jodie, several Yes& team members actively participate in AAF DC leadership: Jacqui Balogh as Board Secretary, Sarah Marshall as Communications Chair, Whitney Loring as Events Chair, and Elliot Matthews as VP of Ad2 DC, which is the under-30 steering committee for AAF DC.
We are proud to be active members of the AAF DC community and look forward to continuing to contribute to its growth and success in years to come. To quote Bob Sprague, Founder and CEO of Yes&, “Our involvement with AAF DC gives us a chance to invest in our agency’s future while contributing to DC’s vital creative community. I deeply appreciate the time and effort Jodie, Jacqui, Sarah, Whitney, and Elliot devote to this collaboration, and encourage other agency owners to support AAF DC as it grows.”
