SCOTUS dual decisions offers a critical opportunity for institutions to re-examine their messaging and marketing

The Supreme Court decisions on affirmative action and student debt relief have garnered a tremendous amount of press coverage, and for good reason. But the coverage is reinforcing the negative perceptions about higher education that have been festering for the last few years.

To Help People with ALS, Yes& Gets Personal

Two years ago, the ALS Association asked Yes& to develop a web-based tool that would deliver appropriate resources to people with ALS during every stage of the disease’s progression. The project that ensued, My ALS Journey, launched in May 2023 during ALS Awareness Month. The Yes& team sought to create a tool that would help a broad range of users. For that to happen, it would need to be easily accessible and provide a highly personalized user experience. Personalization The ALS Association is the world’s largest funder of ALS research. The association advocates for better policies, drives awareness of the ALS community among the general population, and inspires hope for a future without ALS. “ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. There is no cure for ALS yet.” -ALS.org

A Day In The Life: Agency Woman Coming Your Way

Every day is a chance to start fresh, to do our best work, learn something new, and create meaningful moments for ourselves and the people around us. My intent is to do this as much as possible. Life is short. I might as well make it worthwhile.

Why a Day of Service?

At Yes&, we care about community, places where we live and work and become our best selves. Community is where we make meaning. That’s why we’ve established a Social Action Committee that meets biweekly to organize and empower employee activism. This year, on June 8, Yes& teams organized and performed volunteer activities in multiple cities. Here’s a look at what we did. Hopefully, this will inspire you, your family, and colleagues to continue helping these worthwhile organizations! Lucky Dog Animal Rescue: Arlington, VA Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing animals and finding them forever homes. Yes&ers organized supplies, took inventory, and cleaned the Lucky Dog office in Arlington, Va. The team organized many (many!) dog crates and pens, cat carriers, and bins -- the necessities of weekend adoption events. Lucky Dog Program Manager, Julie Brooks was ecstatic about the Yes& team’s accomplishment: fresh, clean, orderly supply rooms that will improve the efficiency of Lucky Dog’s operations.

7 Business-to-Government Public Relations Tips To Support Procurement Success

The business-to-government (B2G) market is a lucrative and growing sector, with the U.S. government spending on goods and services totaling more than $6.27 trillion during fiscal year (FY) 2022 alone. The government is highly selective when choosing vendors, and companies must demonstrate a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions that can address the government’s mission objectives. Even during times of economic downturn and debt ceiling discussions, it’s important for companies to remain relevant in this market. As such, B2G public relations (PR) remains a first-line marketing tactic to reach federal, state and local government contracting officers and other key decision-makers.

TRSA: The Inconspicuous Environmentalist

Earth Day brings many and varied opportunities to honor and appreciate our natural environment and take steps to protect it. Celebrations in our area ranged from urban gardening and farm-to-table cooking demonstrations to community-wide festivals, complete with live music, food trucks, pottery painting, and reusable grocery bag pick-up. While I love a good food truck taco while listening to a local cover band, I also feel compelled to recognize Earth Day by sharing my experience working with our new-ish client, Textile Rental Services Association of America (TRSA)—the association for linen, uniform, and facility services providers. You might wonder what linens and uniforms have to do with Earth Day… a few months ago, before Yes& started working with TRSA, I couldn’t have told you either.
